Maple Caramel Corn

Ingredients

  • 2 gallons popcorn popped
  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tsp maple flavor
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • flaked sea salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 250°.

  2. Place brown sugar, maple syrup, and butter in a saucepan and bring to a boil for 1 minute.

  3. Remove from heat and stir in maple flavor.

  4. Immediately stir in baking soda.

  5. Spread onto baking sheets in a single layer.

  6. Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 20 minutes.

  7. Remove from the oven and add sea salt, to taste.

  8. Spread out caramel corn and allow to cool.
