Every September, since Brilee was just big enough to toddle around between the pumpkins, we’ve been going to Evans Orchard in Georgetown.
We may have picked one of the hottest September days in recent memory. It did make for a dry, sunny day to enjoy the playground and the orchard, though.
A photo with the Evans Orchard bus is always the first place the kids run to.
Then they made a dash to the playground to climb a hay castle, race in pedal carts, and bounce on the Jumbo Jumper.
And slid down the Cider Slider until their faces were red.
A lunch of sandwiches and apple cider on the covered patio made for a nice break to cool down.
Then we were off to look around the barn yard and petting zoo.
Followed by a stroll in the orchard.
I’ve snuck a picture of Graham walking through the orchard each year. Here’s one of them from a couple years ago.
After a wagon ride around the property, it was back to the market to grab a couple of pumpkins and all the apple things. A peck of pixie crunch apples, a jug of cider, and a box of cider donuts, of course.
The cider donuts are one of the reasons for our adventure to the orchard every year.
Apple cider slushies were needed to cool off again before the drive home.
The kids are already asking for a second trip later this fall. I think I could be bribed with the promise of more cider donuts!
