I love holiday traditions. Watching fireworks on the Fourth of July, Macy’s Parade at Thanksgiving, and staying up to watch the ball drop at midnight on New Year’s Eve. At Christmas, one of my favorite traditions is getting a new Christmas book to read with the kids each year. It’s so much fun sharing the classic stories I loved hearing as a kid, and finding new favorites together! I wanted to share with y’all some of our favorites, plus some that I’ve added to our list for the next Christmas season.
Old Classics:
The Night Before Christmas (Little Golden Book)
How the Grinch Stole Christmas!
The Night Before Christmas Yes, this book is already on the list, but the illustrations in this one are just too beautiful to leave it out.
Yes, Virginia, There Is A Santa Claus: The Classic Edition
The Nutcracker: based on the New York City Ballet
Norman Rockwell’s Christmas Book
New Favorites:
Frozen Olaf’s Night Before Christmas Book & CD
On Next Year’s List:
The Biggest Christmas Tree Ever
If you’re looking for a new tradition to start with your family, this is a great one to add this year!
