Cupid's Snack Mix - Darling South Cupid's Snack Mix - Darling South

I’ve always loved the traditional Chex mix for snacking on road trips, but I’ve only recently tried out sweet versions. Some call this sweet mix Muddy Buddies, some call it Puppy Chow; I’m calling this Cupid’s snack mix. It’s a delicious combo of crunchy and sweet, with the crispy rice chex covered in Funfetti sweetness and studded with pink and red M&M’s. So easy to make and share for a movie night in, or package up in cute Valentine treat bags to give away!

Cupid’s Snack Mix

9 cups rice chex
12 oz almond bark
1.5 cups Funfetti cake mix (I used Pillsbury Gluten-Free)
1/2 cup sprinkles
3/4 cup M&Ms
  1. Pour the chex cereal into a large bowl. Your largest bowl. Maybe even use that large pot you only pull out for a low country boil. The larger the bowl (or pot) the more room you’ll have to toss the mix without getting all over your counters. 😉
  2. Melt almond bark in a microwave safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds, until it’s melted.
  3. Pour the almond bark over the rice chex and stir until all the chex are evenly coated.
  4. Stir in the sprinkles.
  5. Add the Funfetti cake mix and M&Ms and toss until everything is well coated.

Store the mix in an airtight container.
