This cute little garland was definitely the quickest, simplest craft or DIY I’ve ever done. My kids were talking about Thanksgiving decorations, but since we’ll be decorating for Christmas soon, I decided just to make a few things rather than buying a bunch. I had a package of 10 round gift tags saved away and it turned out to be the perfect number of tags to spell out “give thanks”.
I wrote out each letter on its own tag with a paint marker, but you could use a Sharpie if you don’t happen to have one laying around. Then I tied a knot at each tag as I strung them on to the twine. This package of tags already included the black and white twine, but some festive ribbon would have looked cute, too.
In less than 10 minutes, we had a simple but sweet new piece of decor for the holiday season! You can easily customize the look with different tags / colors. I found these round tags at Target over the summer for $3.99! Here are a few more I found online that would be adorable:
